Jehovah Shalom: The LORD Is Peace (Judges 6)

“Then Gideon built an altar there unto the LORD, and called it Jehovahshalom.” — Judges 6:24, KJV

Gideon was hiding. He didn't feel mighty. But God found him, called him “a mighty man of valour,” and gave him peace when he had every reason to be afraid. This lesson teaches children that God's peace is not the absence of trouble — it is His presence in the middle of it.
